Private Workshop FAQ's

How much are classes? How old do I have to be to book? How many people can we have?

Events are $65pp 

At the moment I only teach ages 12+ for anywhere up to 20 pax, I can also teach children 6-11 for up to 12 pax

Minimum party spend is 6 pax ($390)

A 25% deposit will be due at the time of the booking with the remaining balance due one week prior to your event 

What is included in the event?

Included in the event is all clay supplies including 800g of clay per person

You will also get a choice from 1 of 4 glazes where I will go home, glaze your pieces and fire them for you

You will also get a guided demonstration on the basics of hand building pottery

How long is the event?

The workshop will be 1.5 hour experience and that will include a 15minute small demonstration to teach you all the tips and tricks of hand building before going off to make your masterpiece.

Where can I have my event? 

Your event can take place at any location you choice, at the moment I am mainly providing this service in the north shore and northern beaches but am open to other locations within reason. You can DM me to discuss.

It can be at your house or a party venue/function room.

If you are wanting an external location, parking will be required. If outdoor location chosen (e.g. for a picnic), this will need to be coordinated with myself as only clay supplies will be provided.

My party can no longer make it? Can we be refunded?

For cancellations: before 1 week prior, you will lose your 25% deposit

                               within 1 week prior, you will incur a $50 cancellation fee

For rescheduling: before 1 week, you will not incur any charges, the deposit will be kept but the due date of remaining balance will be maintained.

                               within 1 week, you will incur a $30 rescheduling fee

These charges are due to logistics of planning and scheduling. 

How long will it take for me to get my parties pieces back? And where do I collect them from?

Pottery is a long process. The estimated time of pieces is 4-6 weeks however an eta will be given on the day of the event and you will be notified when the pieces are ready to collect/post! - postage upon request - extra $ ($ dependent on weight)

The exact location of collection will be given upon booking? the general region is the lower north shore.

I am unable to collected my pieces, can they be posted?

Yes at your own cost! There is also no guarantee that shipping handlers will handle your pieces with care but I do my best to package all pieces safely

One or more of my groups pieces can back broken or chipped, what does this mean?

Unfortunately due to the nature of ceramics, and its fragile state, breakages can occur. I will do my best to get in touch with you regarding any major breakages and in the case that this does happen options will be provided as to how we will carry forward.

Are the pieces dishwasher safe?

Although these pieces are dishwasher safe and can withstand high temperatures, I would not recommend putting them in the dishwasher. Each piece is unique and one of a kind, so take care of them by hand washing instead.
